Main Line

IPML is a local association of the National Association of Insurance Women (International). IPML was chartered in 1973 and remains committed to providing professional development, educational and networking opportunities to our membership. Our organization also holds a variety of fundraising events to support continuing education for our members as well as local charitable organizations in our communities. IPML’s membership is very diverse and includes brokers, wholesalers, underwriters, risk managers, claims adjusters and attorneys, amongst many other specializations within the risk management and insurance community. Many of our members also hold a variety of industry-recognized professional designations including CPCU, ARM, AIS, CISR, CPIW & DAE (both NAIW-sponsored designations).

The dinner meeting programs are both educational and entertaining. Some past programs have included insurance-related legislation issues, health-related topics, improving communication skills to name a few. Our upcoming meeting schedule for the 2011-2012 year:

11/16/11: Join us as we welcome Mark Irvin of Mark Irvin Restoration, Rochelle Eisenberg of Art Directives, and Pennock Insurance, Inc, our three corporate sponsors, for an educational session on property restoration, art/antique appraisal and managing general agency.
12/14/11 – Let’s reflect and give thanks during the Holiday season as we gather to support two wonderful charitable organizations: Philabundance (www.philabundance.org) and Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
January – winter recess

05/23/11 – A packed meeting with one last educational opportunity, elections and officers installation!

Continuing Education seminars are offered to insurance professional in the community, they are sponsored by IPML/NAIW and include such topics as Underwriting for Non-Underwriters, Communicate with Confidence, Ethics, and Personal Umbrella - Providing Adequate Coverage.

Many of our members hold industry-recognized designations, including CPCU, CIC, ARM, AIS, CISR, CPIW/CPIM (Certified Professional Insurance Woman/Man, offered only by NAIW, and the DAE (Diversified Advanced Education, also offered only by NAIW).
