HORIZON PLAN
PENNSYLVANIA COUNCIL OF NAIW HORIZON PLAN & MISSION STATEMENT
NAIW is known for fostering an avenue for the development of leadership skills our members can use within NAIW and in their careers.
The following Horizon Plan is the strategy the Pennsylvania Council of NAIW will focus on in the next year. This is a work in progress, designed to ensure the future of our organization. It should be reviewed and updated each year as we achieve goals and create new ones. We need to continue to strive for success, and to follow the Pennsylvania Council of NAIW Mission Statement:
To act as a liaison between our local associations and all levels of our organization.
To promote personal and professional development.
To empower each of our individual members to reach their full potential through quality education, networking, and leadership development opportunities.
Horizon #1 Membership Development & Retention
Continue communication with local members to ensure that they see themselves as members of a greater part of NAIW at the state level
Share ideas with local associations/members to promote belonging as “good business.”
Promote involvement in activities, education, and local and state meetings.
Assist local associations in organizing new local chapters in their area
Develop a list of NAIW information for a member packet (schedule of regional, state and national conferences with brief descriptions; tracking your achievement record sheet; etc)
Assist associations in developing retention tracking
a. Follow-up with renewal reminders b. Contact inactive members c. Develop a survey for non-renewing members to complete to determine why they are not renewing
*those associations that are on direct bill will experience a lag time as dues are paid direct to National
